We are pleased to announce the publication of the Second Announcement Part II, which contains useful information for the next International Astronautical Congress (IAC) that will be held from 29 September to 3 October 2008.
The publication explains in depth the events planned for the 59th IAC, with information on each Technical Session, Plenary Event, Highlight Lecture and special event.

This press release is published on behalf of the International Astronautical Federation (IAF) IAC 2008, Glasgow, Scotland Media accreditation - deadline 31 August
The application deadline for journalists wishing to attend the International Astronautical Congress (IAC) in Glasgow, Scotland, between 29 September and 3 October 2008, is 31 August.
All members of the media who have not already done so should apply for advance accreditation from the International Astronautical Federation (IAF) as soon as possible.
There will only be limited opportunities to register at the Congress itself and failure to apply in advance may result in delays or security problems. Journalists wishing to apply should fill in the electronic Adobe Acrobat PDF form - downloadable here Press Accreditation Application Form - and send it by email with relevant supporting documentation to Rocio Caparros - rocio.caparros@iafastro.org The form is also available on the websites www.iafastro.org and www.iac2008.co.uk where further details for travel and accommodation in Glasgow can be found. Each individual representative (which includes camera/production crew), should submit a completed form plus a PDF or JPEG of your Press Pass and Passport, together with some proof of employment/commission and, if freelance, some examples of published work. The IAC - the world's biggest annual space conference with more than 2000 delegates and a large supporting exhibition - provides an international focus for the space industry. It brings together scientists, engineers, business leaders and students to debate the latest ideas, current activities and future ambitions across a diverse range of space-related topics. Media accreditation will only be given to active members of the media attending the Congress in a news gathering capacity, and accreditation will only be given to photographers commissioned by a news gathering agency or specific publication.
